Our classes are designed for people who want to practice a martial art in an all inclusive family friendly environment. Our students learn more than just how to kick and punch, they learn self-discipline, etiquette and respect, which can help them develop into better individuals.

Our system is suitable for the whole family enabling you to spend some quality time together, having fun and keeping fit in a safe, friendly environment with like-minded individuals.

The classes are designed to be challenging and rewarding, with students measuring their own progress through the coloured belt grading system (black belt being the ultimate prize).

USKO Wales is led by Chief Instructor, Jon Robbins. Jon began his Martial Arts career in 1984 with Clayton Murrain’s AMAA, competing Regionally, Nationally & Internationally in both Kata & Kumite. He became a Professional Instructor in 1987 and formed his Association, “United Sport Karate Organisation” in 1996 with 2 other senior instructors. This Group has well in excess of 300 Members throughout the South Wales region.

The USKO’s programmes are designed to keep the whole family healthy & happy, but this can only be achieved with the commitment & dedication of our team of Instructors. They are all highly motivated ‘professionals’ with many years experience, both practicing & teaching karate, who must all meet vigorous training guidelines. For example, the current BMABA requirements for new coach applicants are as follows.

    • Recognised First Aid qualification.
    • Enhanced police check (DBS).
    • Safe Guarding and Protecting Children qualification.
    • Instructor Insurance.
